Our Mission

First Response Paranormal Investigations was started by Joshua Rogers in early 2008 as a way to bring together those around him with a strong interest in the paranormal, and help those around him that where seemingly at a loss to deal with things happening around them that they couldn’t understand. And since the first investigation of FRPI they have strive to help those in need both living and dead wile searching for answers for them selves.

Since there founding FRPI has done minor investigations over much of the first coast area, the count of which we have long since lost track of. As individuals all the members have had life long struggles and encounters from all over the country.

The goal of FRPI is 3 fold in its simplest form.

1.) To help those in need. Be it through investigating a property for them, teaching those that wish to learn, debunking fraudulent “haunting’s”, or simply direct a lost soul on its way.

2.) To advance the “science of seeing the afterlife”. Much like they great Thomas Edison who strived to make a way to communicate with the dead. We try to enhance and create equipment and devices to communicate with and scientifically measure the presents of unknown forces and presents. Striving to one day perfect these so we have proof that there is more then to what we see.

3.) To clarify “popular history” as we like to call it. The founding members of FRPI have all worked as tour guides locally and have inevitably come across “stretched truths” and out and out lies. In our work we hope to dispel some of these myths and fabricated boogie men the keep being perpetuated. For if history becomes based on fiction we can not truly learn from it.

Our methods are may fold, but to simplify it down we tend to come in with a very clinical approach at first. we like to come in knowing as little as possible about the history of the property, at first as to not be tainted on an investigations.

When doing a full scale investigation we come in to an area and set up audio and video equipment all around the investigation area and try to lock off the area from outside noises and distractions as best we can.Once this is done we will go around taking base line measurements for our equipment so that we have notes to compare to throughout the investigation. After this we will start working our way around the site in teams trying to document activity and try to elicit responses from entities. We use a wide array of technique from EVP work to dowsing to post cog / empathic / channeling connections. All of which are carefully documented for later review so that the facts can be verified if able and given to the client.

Given our level of access to a site and its size the initial investigation can last any where from a few hours to in rare occasions indefinite ongoing investigations of a site. on the average care we would often have sorted through our evidence and gone back and researched what we got within a week and have it handed over to the client. All of which is done at no cost to the client.

After which with the clients consent ( which is often harder to get then you’d think) we post it here or on other sites for viewing by the public. Other wise all material is kepted under lock and key and all names and events kept out of the public eye.( which is why we have so few case files at the moment.)

Cody Jones and Joshua Rogers
When investigating a “haunting” no matter how “well known ” the entities are we always come in looking at it as there is nothing there but a bunch of bed time stories. we leave the burden of proof to the evidence where it should be.

For FRPI to give our “stamp of certified haunting” so to speak, on a site there must be enough evidence both documented and personal that can be verified that the standards we hold as a group are met to all involved. These may come in the for of unaltered photographs, videos, or imaging plates of visible activity or entities. Audio recordings of disembodied sounds unexplainable and unaccounted for by investigators. Anomaly in the EM field, thermal, ion field, light spectrum’s, and air flow. Motion of inanimate objects recorded or witnessed by two or more individuals. And to a lesser existent personal experiences and psychic impressions that can later be validated historically or through correlation with recorded accuracy like this.

Once all of this is weighed if the evidence strongly leads to the conclusion that the site is haunted, and the site owners would like to have it cleansed we will direct them to appropriate specialist to help them out.
